Description:

DH5α Competent Cells are high-efficiency, chemically competent E. coli cells commonly used for small plasmid propagation and routine cloning. They are selected for their ability to achieve high transformation efficiency and are suitable for a variety of transformation efficiencies and formats to suit different workflows and budgets. It is known for several key features, including blue/white screening with lac Z∆M15, high insert stability due to rec A1 mutation, high yield and quality of DNA due to end A mutation, and high transformation efficiency. Competent Cells for G2P DH5α have been created using a patented adaptation method.
